quotes 49lbs?? Don't wanna sound like a weight weenie but that's a ton for any bike that isn't 8inches... and for one that is!

quotes Seems like they miss Commencal already! At least the mechanic does, lol.

quotes @aaah... aaahhh, how did I miss that? Haha, saw the pivot on the rear and jumped to conclusions. But a linkage activated single pivot is still different than a simple single pivot!
collin7 commented under mikelevy's blog ( Jan 5, 2012 at 20:45 )
quotes that thur aint no single pivot.

quotes back flip - look up front flip - look down barrel roll - look kinda to the side and at the landing a little and then kinda look up and you should nail it.

quotes I was highly impressed with my excavators as well! Other than the weight... but for the most part, it was worth the trade-off.

quotes Exactly Pnadion... @enorbz, I really don't know what you meant by that. I consider myself "green" and know PLENTY of other bikers that do as well. How hypocritical would I be if I said I love riding my bike in nature but didn't care about nature!? Construction of sustainable trails is the best way to ensure we have epic places to ride in the future. I hope you have some sort of appreciation and respect for your local trails and the land they are built on.

quotes Well that blows... I'm a liberal hippie mountain biker! Really man? There are all kinds of haters... liberals, conservatives, hippies, and red necks (did I cover everyone, haha). Sucks don't it?
collin7 commented under mikelevy's blog ( Dec 29, 2011 at 17:07 )
quotes damn... that's a great question! haha, possibly because of weight? If I had to guess, a MTB frame takes more engineering than a motorcycle frame only because we are SO concerned with weight. There aren't many carbon dirt bike frames out there because it'd be too damn expensive! That's just a guess though...

Thanks! You too! Enjoy the race! Oh, btw...Did you race that Red Bull Night Race? How did that go? That looks crazy. The clemson course is fun as hell but at night some of that stuff would be sketchy...I guess that's why there is muscle memory.

Sadly I'm going to miss this race this year. I got married in December and I need to save my vacation time for a Honeymoon. I also have to have time left over to race the GES and NBL Nationals next season. I'd love to come down especially to try my hand at that new drop but unfortunately I'm just not going to be able to this year. Next year most likely.
